Innovative renewable and low-carbon projects supported by the EU

The Commission has awarded €1 billion to 19 innovative renewable energy projects in 12 EU member states. The projects cover a wide range of low-carbon technologies: oxyfuel technology, bioenergy (including advanced biofuels), production of solar, geothermal and wind power, photovoltaics, ocean energy and smart grids.
