Latvia, in the grip of a recession and facing sharply falling government revenues, needs EUR 5 billion (USD 6.47 billion) from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Union (EU), Finance Minister Atis Slakteris (People’s Party) said today during an interview to the Reuters news agency.
