Latvia records one of the steepest fuel price rises in EU in June

At the end of June 2009, the average retail price for 95-octane fuel in Latvia was 104.97 euro-cents (73.77 santims) per liter, which was the seventh lowest index among European Union (EU) countries. The price for diesel fuel, however, was 94.98 euro-cents (66.75 santims) per liter, which was the eight lowest in the EU, according to the European Commission's newest data on fuel prices in EU....
