Retail trade in Lithuania increased by 17.2% in December
Based on the provisional data, Statistics Lithuania informs that the turnover (VAT excluded) of enterprises engaged in retail trade, except for trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles, in December 2011 amounted to LTL 2420.6 million and, against November, increased by 17.2% at constant prices, while seasonally adjusted it decreased by 1.3%. The growth in turnover was influenced by an upturn in Christmas trading. Over a month, the turnover of enterprises trading in food products grew by 27%, that of enterprises trading in non-food products (excluding motor vehicles) – by 21% at constant prices. ...
