Social ministry plans to reduce the number of hospitals in Estonia by a half

While currently there are 19 large full-service hospitals in Estonia that receive most of their funding from the Health Insurance Fund, just 7-10 hospitals would remain by the year 2020 while the rest will be reorganised into family doctors' centres and health centres that offer long-term care, emergency medical services and some specialised medical services, LETA/Postimees writes....
