Corruption Prevention Bureau (CPB) Deputy Chief Juta Strike, who is also one of the candidates to become the bureau’s head, believes that the government had its reasons for extending the deadline to apply for the vacant post, however, discussions have not begun with those people who have already applied for the position. Strike said this during an interview on the Latvijas Neatkariga televizija (LNT) TV program “900 Seconds” this morning.
