Unemployment level in Lithuania in October 2008 was one of the lowest in EU

The average seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate in the 27 European Union (EU) member countries stood at 7.1% in October 2008; unemployment rate in Latvia was 7.2% – eighth highest in the EU, according to information from Eurostat. Unemployment rate in Lithuania was 4.7% and in Estonia – 7.5%.
