Government of Latvia approved of an action plan with 645 tasks
Today, Valdis Dombrovskis' (Unity) Cabinet of Ministers in Latvia approved its plan of objectives to be completed by the next Saeima elections.
Lithuania insurance market grew in 2011 driven by non-life insurance
The year 2011 was a successful one to the insurance market as its growth rate almost doubled compared with the national economy, the Bank of Lithuania said. In 2011, the amount of written premiums reached as high as LTL 1.7 billion (EUR 0.5 billion), a year-on-year rise of 9.5%.
Cargo turnover at Klaipeda Seaport decreased by 9.7% in January
In January 2012, 2,88 million tons of sea – born cargo, i.e. less by 297,4 thousand tons or by 9,4% if to compare with the corresponding period of 2011 was handled in Klaipėda 800,3 thousand tons of oil were imported via Būtinges Terminal in January of the current year.
Annual inflation in Estonia made 4.5% in January
According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2012 compared to December 2011, the change of the consumer price index was 0.7% and compared to January of the previous year 4.5%.
